Deadline Approaches for Public Input on WTC Memorial
by WNYC Newsroom
NEW YORK, NY June 27, 2006 —The public has until midnight tonight to comment on the changes to the World Trade Center Memorial. The design was altered to cut costs and address security issues. Representatives of victims' families say many will not endorse the memorial unless the list of names is altered to reflect what tower and what floor they were on when the terrorist attacks occurred on 9/11. Current plans call for a random listing of victims' names. Comments can be submitted at www.renewnyc.org until midnight.
