Suozzi Challenging Spitzer for Dem Gov Ticket

NEW YORK, NY February 27, 2006 —Nassau County Executive Tom Suozzi announcing his campaign for the Democratic nomination for governor this weekend. Suozzi is indeed the underdog in the race. He's about sixty points behind in the polls, and has about a quarter the campaign warchest of Eliot Spitzer, the Democratic front runner.
In fact, the only reason many people are even paying attention to Suozzi is that he's managed to collect a good deal of money from people Eliot Spitzer is prosecuting -- and their allies.
