Underserved Neighborhood Gets Food Co-op

NEW YORK, NY December 02, 2005 —A farmer's market has been so successful in introducing fresh and healthy food to the largely underserved Brooklyn neighborhood of East New York that organizers are planning a new food co-op. The rates of obesity and diabetes in East New York are almost twice the city average. Reporter Wilma Consul has more.
