A memorial for Naiesha Pearson
An Obit to 10-Year Old Bronx Victim

NEW YORK, NY September 09, 2005 —Its been a hard season for some of New York City's children. There have been tragic stories of car wrecks, freak accidents and gunshots wiping out young lives. The Labor Day Holiday was no exception. Naiesha Pearson was enjoying a family barbecue when she was struck by a stray bullet and died.
WNYC's Kathleen Horan visited 139th Street in the Bronx and spoke to some of the 10 year old's family members at a makeshift memorial for her in the neighborhood she grew up in.
Services for Naiesha will be held on Monday, September 12 at St. Luke's Church in the Bronx.
