New York Fans React to the Olympics Vote

NEW YORK, NY July 06, 2005 —11 years ago, New York City officials began preparing for the 2012 Olympic bid- and in the last few months it has been impossible to not know that we were in the race - every flag pole proclaimed our intentions to "let the dreams begin". This morning, those dreams died in the second round of bidding in Singapore as New York left the race second only to Moscow.
WNYC reporter Fred Mogul is down at the Rockefeller Center where diehard fans have camped overnight to see the Olympic hosts announced.
