NEW YORK, NY April 21, 2005 —An archivists' group is conducting a survey of records related to the September 11th terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center.

The Archivists Round Table of Metropolitan New York is calling on all individuals and organizations with records or artifacts related to the attack including files, reports, letters or interviews to fill out a brief survey that's available at the group's Web site www.nycarchivists.org.

The group says the responses will be stored in a database portions of which will be available to researchers. The group says the survey responses will advance the preservation of these materials while helping future researchers studying the September 11th attacks.

The project is being funded by a grant from New York state's Documentary Heritage Program.
