Councilman Allan Jennings Vows to Fight Sanctions

NEW YORK, NY April 21, 2005 —The City Council censured one of its own members for the first time in its history yesterday. But, Queens Councilman Allan Jennings is vowing to fight the sanctions levied against him for alleged sexual harrasment and the misuse of public resources.

The 43-to-2 decision to censure Jennings followed a probe into allegations from five women who said they were sexually harrassed.

Under the terms of the censure Jennings was fined $5 thousand, suspended from committee assignments and orderd to attend anger management and sensitivity training classes.
