Bernard Kerik to run Dept. of Homeland Security

NEW YORK, NY December 02, 2004 —President Bush has tapped former New York City Police Commissioner Bernard Kerik to run the Department of Homeland Security. Kerik edged out the other front runners, including former FEMA director Joe Allbaugh and Homeland Security Under Secretary Asa Hutchingson. We hear from WNYC's Andrea Bernstein.
