Public Theater Names New Artistic Director

NEW YORK, NY November 17, 2004 —Oskar Eustis has been named the new artistic director of the Public Theater. He will replace George C. Wolfe, who is stepping down to return full time to his own playwriting. Eustis is currently the artistic director of the Trinity Repertory Company in Providence, Rhode Island, and he talks with WNYC’s Amy Eddings.
