Third Anniversary of Flight 587 Crash

NEW YORK, NY November 12, 2004 —This morning about 250 mourners huddled under a persistent rain at a memorial service at Newport Avenue and Beach 131st Street in the Rockaways for the victims of American Airlines flight 587 to Santo Domingo. The flight crashed at 9:16 am, three years ago today. WNYC's Andrea Bernstein filed this report.
