Bush Budget A Mixed Bag

NEW YORK, NY February 04, 2004 — President Bush released an election year budget this week that preserves his tax cuts, while holding down government spending. To get a handle on what Mr. Bush's proposal would mean for New York, WNYC's Beth Fertig spoke with Ronnie Lowenstein -director of the City's Independent Budget office. Lowenstein called the President's budget a mixed bag.
