NEW YORK, NY August 01, 2003 — Despite budget cuts, the city continues to fund hundreds of local arts groups - everything from the Alpha-Omega Dance Company to the Yangtze Theatre. Last year, a whole new crop of arts organizations received city money for the first time. But under a new funding system, dozens of veteran groups got nothing. WNYC's Fred Mogul has more.
