Governor Pataki today is set to veto the budget deal made between the State Senate and Assembly. The vetos over what Pataki has called, "job-killing taxes" are expected to come just a day after Pataki proposed an alternate aid package for New York City -- a package that includes video lottery terminals to help raise money and no hike in the city sales tax and no extra tax on higher-income New Yorkers. Meantime, the legislature is already scheduling votes to override governor's veto. Joining me to discuss the state of the state budget is WNYC's Andrea Bernstein.
