In the Shadow of Indian Point

NEW YORK, NY January 14, 2003 — Ever since September 11th residents in the lower Hudson Valley have been uneasy living in the shadow of the Indian Point nuclear Power Plant. Now an independent report, commissioned Governor Pataki, offers new evidence that emergency planning around the plant is inadequate. Politicians and community groups are calling yet again for its shutdown. WNYC's Richard Hake reports.
