Mentally Ill In Wake of WTC Attack

by Beth Fertig

NEW YORK, NY November 20, 2001 — The attack on the World Trade Center has had a huge psychological effect on the city. Many people have been requesting medications to cope with anxiety and depression – some for the first time in their lives. For those who had mental illnesses to begin with, these past few weeks have been especially frightening.
