Stadium Opponents, Supporters Hire Lobbyists

by Andrea Bernstein

NEW YORK, NY October 26, 2004 —The watchdog group common cause has released a report showing more than 11-million dollars has been spent lobbying for and against a proposed West Side Stadium. The report shows that, by a two-to-one margin, stadium opponents are outspending supporters. Each side has hired an army of lobbyists. Joining us to sort this out is WNYC's Andrea Bernstein, who has been covering the debate on the West Side Stadium. Good morning, Andrea.
