NEW YORK, NY October 28, 2009 —Some 150 Yankee fans persisted against an equally-persistent rain, gathering in Times Square for a pep rally in advance of tonight's opening game of the World Series against the Phillies.

Mayor Bloomberg was there and told the crowd to expect a bigger party downtown, if the Yankees prevail, "We're going to all be on Broadway together. I promise you," he said.

The mayor, who's seeking four more years in office in next Tuesday's mayoral election, led fans in a chant of "four more wins."

The first pitch tonight is at 7:57, weather permitting. First Lady Michelle Obama and Jill Biden will be in attendance. The rain is expected to lighten up by then.
