NEW YORK, NY September 28, 2009 —Voters will go to the polls again tomorrow, though probably not many. There was historically low turnout in the primaries earlier this month and many expect turnout to be even lower tomorrow.

There are runoff elections in two city-wide races in which no candidate garnered 40% of the vote. City councilmen John Liu and David Yassky are on the ballot for City Comptroller. Liu bested Yassky 38-30 percent in a four-way primary.

Councilman Bill de Blasio is running for Public Advocate against Mark Green, who held the office in the 1990s. They were nearly tied 33-31 percent in the primary.
