Metro-North Begins Service to the Meadowlands
WNYC Newsroom
NEW YORK, NY September 16, 2009 —Metro-North starts experimental rail service to Jets and Giants games this weekend.
The train starts in Connecticut and has two stops in Westchester, in Rye and Larchmont, before reaching the Meadowlands.
To help kick off the service this Sunday, former Jets wide receiver Wayne Wayne Kurbet will greet fans at the Larchmont station. Then he and the railroad's president will take the train to the Jets-Patriots game.
