Teens Struggle With Death of Parents on 9/11

NEW YORK, NY September 11, 2009 —Many children who were young when they lost parents at the World Trade Center are now adolescents – and September 11th is often a reminder that they have even more to deal with, as teen-agers, than most of their peers. Dr. Sudeepta Varma is the head of the World Trade Center Mental Health program at Bellevue Hospital. She joins us to talk about some of the ongoing challenges those left behind face and some of the solutions they find.
