NEW YORK, NY July 07, 2009 —A baseball fan has settled a lawsuit against New York City and the Yankees. Bradford Campeau Laurion sued after a police officer ejected him from the Stadium because he left his seat to use the bathroom during the playing of "God Bless America."

The city, which did not admit liability will pay the Queens man $10,001. It will also pay $12,000 in fees to the New York Civil Liberties Union. A Yankees spokeswoman says the team will pay nothing and change no policies.

At the old stadium, ushers were seen blocking some exits with chains during the song, but the team said ushers were told to let anyone with an emergency through. It says fans at its new stadium are allowed to move freely during the song.
