The Legacy of Pina Bausch

NEW YORK, NY June 30, 2009 —The German choreographer Pina Bausch has died. Bausch had been diagnosed with cancer just a week ago. She was 68 years old. Earlier today dance critic Claudia LaRocco spoke with WNYC’s Siddhartha Mitter about Bausch and her legacy on contemporary dance. LaRocco said Bausch’s influence on was sweeping.
