Race to Succeed Morgenthau

NEW YORK, NY March 09, 2009 —It's a chance some have looked forward to for years and years, and then a few more years. The chance to run for Manhattan District Attorney without having to challenge Robert Morgenthau.

The legendary prosecutor is retiring after more than three decades in office, and there's a scramble right now as his former deputies and others angle to replace him. WNYC's Soterios Johnson spoke with Daily News reporter Barbara Ross who has been tracking the contenders.
