New York State Republicans Fight to Hold On to Congressional Seats

NEW YORK, NY November 03, 2008 —The national Republican Party decided last week to pull its money out of all but two congressional races in New York.
It was another sign that the democrats are ascendent in several swing districts.
One of the races the GOP targeted early on and now are in effect surrendering, is the one in the 20th congressional district represented by one-term Democratic incumbent, Kirsten Gillibrand.
