NEW YORK, NY October 21, 2008 —Kim’s Video Underground it's closing its doors on Saint Marks Place, and getting rid of its rental collection too.
Kim’s is one of the last independent movie rental places in the city, and a familiar haunt for film students and cinephiles alike.
The store is moving to a smaller location on First Avenue, but Owner Yongman Kim can’t afford to maintain the 55,000-title rental collection.
