NEW YORK, NY October 15, 2008 —Immigration policy hasn't come up in any of the presidential debates so far. Some are hoping that will change tonight when Barack Obama and John McCain square off for the last time at Hofstra University.

Patrick Young from the Long Island Immigrant Alliance wants the candidates to address their timetables for legalizing immigrants.

YOUNG: Obviously reform is going to have to come through coordination of congress and the executive and the full timetable can't be controlled but if they're looking at putting off even the discussion we're probably not going to see it happen during either candidates first term.

REPORTER: Immigration may be a subject John McCain would like to avoid. Conservatives were upset by his plan to allow illegal immigrants earn citizenship.
