Rockefeller Ice Rink Open
by Arun Venugopal
NEW YORK, NY October 13, 2008 —It may feel like a late-summer day but it's ice skating season. The rink at Rockefeller Center opened for business today. Pam Simpson from Aberdeen declared the ice was "absolutely brilliant."
SIMPSON: I'm just so excited to be on Rockefeller Center and skating, because I've come all the way from Scotland and we weren't sure if it was going to be open, so it was really exciting to be here, and it was great fun to be on the ice.
REPORTER: Wollman Rink, in Central Park, opens October 20th, while the Pond at Bryant Park opens on the 24th.
