Corzine Urges N.J. Delegates to Back Obama
by Jenna Flanagan
NEW YORK, NY August 27, 2008 —Sen. Hillary Clinton is expected to release her delegates later today.
Even after last night's speech, questions still remain about whether her delegates will ultimately support Sen. Barack Obama. During the primaries, Clinton received overwhelming support from New Jersey's delegation, including Gov. Jon Corzine. But now, he's falling in line with Democrats.
CORZINE: I'm gonna be asking my delegation to unanimously support Barack Obama today. We fought like crazy, we love Hillary, but now is the time to get behind our candidate and make sure that we're all standing together.
REPORTER: In her convention speech last night, Sen. Clinton told Democrats Sen. Obama is her candidate and supporting John McCain would only hurt the country.
