NEW YORK, NY August 26, 2008 —Tennis enthusiasts of all stripes are flocking to the U.S. Open tennis tournament in Queens over the next two weeks. Many fans say they're looking forward to a re-match between Roger Federer and top seed Rafael Nadal, who met at last month's Wimbledon final. But Long Island's John Coeler and Mimmy Foerman say just being around the game makes them want to celebrate.

COELER: We met on a tennis court and fell in love and became a couple the next day. That's how wonderful tennis is.

FOERMAN: Eleven years years ago today. Eleven years and a month (laughs).

REPORTER: Federer and the Williams sisters play their first match today. More than 700,000 people are expected to attend the tournament. Organizers recommend taking public transportation to matches.
