WNYC’s Derek John caught up with DJ Shadow about his lifelong obsession with records. The performance features eight turntables spinning only 45 rpm records. 45s spin faster than a typical 12 inch, so it’s a real workout for the DJs—and the vinyl too. But Shadow says the records can handle it.
