by Kathleen Horan
NEW YORK, NY June 26, 2008 —The last day of school was today for the city's public school students. Many kids already have their summers planned.
These second graders from the upper West Side, Lauren Winters and her friend Abigail share what they're looking forward to:
WINTERS: Making new friends in camp - we play games we do a lot of swimming and a lot of art projects – I love smores. Me too!
The new school year begins Sept. 2.
