The New Moon Rises on WNYC

A Festival Dedicated to the Diverse and Thriving Musical Traditions of Asian Countries Observing the Calendar of the Moon

Airs February 7 through February 10 on WNYC2 and 93.9FM

From traditional Chinese court music, to contemporary Indonesian pieces for solo piano, to the music of remote Tibetan monasteries, to the orchestras of Korean classical composers, WNYC presents a glimpse into the rich panorama of Asian music.

"The New Moon Rises" is supported in part by the New York State Music Fund, established by the New York State Attorney General at Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors, and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.
