Do you know a classical music fan who can't attend concerts?

Since 2004, the London Symphony Orchestra has been providing home visits for those who can't reach the concert hall. Pairs of LSO musicians perform 45-minute concerts in living rooms, nursing homes, hospices and hospitals in the UK, and they're once again bringing this worthy effort across the pond during their Lincoln Center residency, October 17 - 21, supported by AIG.

LSO on Call Contest

Tell us in 250 words or less why your homebound, music-loving friend or family member deserves a visit and house concert from two members of the world-renowned London Symphony Orchestra.

Entries will be accepted no later than 11:59 p.m. EST October 8, 2007. Nominators must be present at the time of the Musicians on Call visit.

Six lucky winners throughout the boroughs of New York will be chosen to receive private concerts from LSO musicians at the following times:

Tuesday, October 16 - late morning
Wednesday, October 17 - late morning
Wednesday, October 17 - early afternoon
Thursday, October 18 - late morning
Thursday, October 18 - early afternoon
Thursday, October 18 - early evening

And tune in to WNYC for a live broadcast of the London Symphony Orchestra's all-Mozart concert from Avery Fisher Hall on Wednesday evening, October 17th, 2007.
