"Three Versions of a Dream" (After a reading of Borges)
Ezequiel ViñaoArgentinian-born composer Ezequiel Viñao fuses, pulls apart, manipulates and sets to music his own minimalist philosophical text, as read by WNYC hosts David Garland and Helga Davis.
"Untitled, in two movements"
Yungchen LhamoTibetan singer, composer and activist Yungchen Lhamo composed this two-movement vocal improvisatory work with percussion accompaniment. Yungchen is also the director of the New York-based Yungchen Lhamo Charitable Foundation, which seeks to improve the welfare and image of her native Tibetans through outreach, sacred song and meditation workshops.
"Ordinary Hills"
Paola PrestiniItalian-born composer and performer Paola Prestini and her interdisciplinary performance collective VisionIntoArt shine brightly in the firmament of new music ensembles in New York City.
"Sueno de Amor" (Dream of Love)
Dafnis PrietoCuban-born drummer and composer Dafnis Prieto and his ensemble Si O Si share the world premiere performance of his haunting "Sueno de Amor" with singer Vennisa Santi.
