Downloading the WNYC Mobile App

The WNYC Mobile App is currently available for iPhones (iOS 4 and later) and iPads in the iTunes App Store and Android phones (Android 2.2 and later) in the Google Play Store.

To download the app to your iPhone or iPad:

1. Make sure you're connected to the internet. 
2. Open the App Store. 
3. In the search bar in the top right, search for WNYC. 
4. Under iPhone or iPad Apps, you should see the WNYC app. Click the FREE button.
5. The FREE button should turn into an INSTALL button. Click the INSTALL button. (If you're asked for a password, use the one associated with your iTunes account.)
6. The WNYC app will begin downloading to your device. Once it's done, open and listen!

To download the app to your Android phone:

1. Make sure you're connected to the internet.
2. Open the Play Store.
3. Click on the magnifying glass and search for WNYC.
4. Under apps, you should see the WNYC app. Click on it.
5. This should take you to a page about this app. Click the Install button. Your phone will let you know what data the app can access on your phone. Click the Accept & download button if you accept these conditions.
6. The WNYC app will begin downloading to your device. Once it's done, click open and listen!

Listening to WNYC

Once you've downloaded the WNYC Mobile App, you can listen to a live stream of 93.9 FM WNYC directly from your device. 

To listen to WNYC, click the big play button. To listen to 820 AM WNYC or one of our other streams, click the grey tab with the name of the stream first, then click the play button.

Continue listening as you explore the latest news, features, and blog posts from WNYC.org on the Home screen of the app. Collapse or expand the radio player by clicking on the headphone icon in the top right.  

On-Demand Programs

To listen to any of our archived episodes, start by going to the Shows section. Scroll to the right to explore which programs are available for on-demand streaming. Click on the image for the show you'd like to hear. Once you're on the page for the show, click "Listen" to hear the most recent episode or scroll through the archive to find past episodes.
