Reuben

I was alone, in the woods, on an Outward Bound style “solo.” With only my tent, sleeping bag, flashlight, matches, limited food, water, stove, pencil and a notepad. No book, radio or cell phone. After 3 days and 2 nights of observing, listening and reflecting, I had no profound thoughts. Finally, thinking of my shyness and few friends, it came: “I feel like a submarine, rarely seen and only then on the surface.”
