I moved to NYC in March of 2010, and I immediately became interested in subway ad defacements. Most of them were crude and/or silly, but some were clever, some skillful, some highly entertaining, some thoughtful and provoking social commentaries. I took this picture on April 15, 2010, one among several pictures of good defacements.
