This photograph was made in the mid-1970's.

It's been a long time since I've been in New York; I moved south to North Carolina from my native New Jersey in 1989. I cut my teeth as a photographer in NYC, and learned indelible lessons at exhibitions of work by the medium's masters at museums and galleries there. My memories—of the city and of a formative time in my life—are in my photographs. They help me remember.
