The Rising (the album in its entirety)

The music from Springsteen's 'The Rising" was for me a vehicle through which I experienced a feeling of desperately needed bonding with my fellow humans, an experience of catharsis around the amorphous anger for what had been done and lives lost, an opportunity for gratitude for the impossible bravery shown and when all is said and done....a feeling of calm, persistent, passionate prayer (although I'm not particularly religious) that made me feel as though I could make a difference in some cosmic way.
