Typography For The People

This picture was taken in Ohio, for the book that my brother and I just had published. It's called Typography For The People, which focuses exclusively on hand painted signs from around the world. As designers we find charm in these signs and see them as valuable objects that show how the everyday person is able to communicate. Just as spoken language should not be limited to those who are professional speakers, neither should visual communication.
