Robert Haggerty

I make enigmatic yet ontologically charged objects out of discarded plastic bags and dead branches. I use the ubiquitous detritus of both civilization and natural world. I do so because each in its way is ladened with sorrow and ripe with decay. As an artist, I engage the grotesque in pursuit of the numinous. My aim is to create objects that have an uncanny, haunting aura.
