OUR PREGAME IS BETTER THAN YOUR PARTY
This film takes place in Brooklyn, New York on a snowy winter's night. Best friends and roommates Nat and Lizzy prepare for yet another holiday party. What seems like an innocent beginning to a festive night quickly turns to highlight a more important tradition upheld by the two party girls, the pregame. We follow them as their party prep becomes increasingly more debaucherous as they take tequila shots, rip the christmas bong, and shotgun beers in the bathtub. As we approach that time of needing to leave, the girls check the temperature and the Uber surcharge and ultimately decide that there really is no place like home during the holidays.
I wanted to play off this idea that when you are young the holidays are all very innocent and wholesome, but when you reach a certain age and leave in a certain city, the holidays become more about partying with your friends. Ultimately I wanted to circle back to the feeling of love and togetherness that we learned from our traditional holiday experiences and translate it into this somewhat despicable scene. it's about friends becoming family and that in the end it doesn't matter where you do, it's who you are with.
