We bought a permit to cut a tree in the BLM area about an hour away. We cut a tree that was in a cluster of 3 or 4 trees. The intention was to make room for the healthier trees to grow. Our tree is tall and thin. Very much a Charlie Brown tree.
The permit was $10 but the actually cost of the full day family outing was ... Priceless
