I took this photo at the intersection of Avenue C and 8th Street the night Sandy flooded Alphabet City. I took it to try and communicate the effect of the storm on the city, the surreal feeling on the nearly black, abandoned streets that night. I like the eerie effect that the light from (I believe) a police floodlight.
