This photo was taken in Long Meadow in Prospect Park. The little monument is the Theodore Roosevelt Memorial. The photo was taken in early April as all kids emerged from the cold of winter to prepare for the upcoming Little League baseball season. Scenes like this could be found throughout the parks of the city. Life was renewed as the trees began to bloom at the same time as a new baseball season was born.
