This isn't exactly a photo. It's a screen capture I made from the Wildlife Center of Virginia Critter Cam. They are a wildlife teaching hospital. The big owl is Papa G'ho. He is a non-releasable owl (he was injured and is unable to fly silently), so WCV uses him as a surrogate owl to raise any Great Horned owlets who end up at WCV. (I think this one was orphaned and wouldn't have been able to survive in the real world at this age.)He "teaches" them how to be owls. This is Papa G'ho with one of his "student" owlets. The owlet was eventually released back into the wild. (The picture was used to nominate Papa G'ho as "Father of the Year" for some Virginia magazine. The winner was supposed to get some nice dress shirt. Papa G'ho won, so they gave him a rat instead.)
