Occupy Sandy was *THE* story of 2012 for it not only concerns the most dramatic event to occur in NYC in 2012 but an amazing grass roots alternative movement for change. This picture and the person who took it exemplify this story: it represents hardship, perseverence, community, and - ultimately - recovery.

As a Rabbi I have first-hand knowledge of the extent to which this photographer contributed to and documented this effort.
