(I know no kids but I think this one tells a story): On an Indian Summer day in late September, my husband and I made a spontaneous decision to take our kids for one last fling on the Jersey Shore. We spent the day in Ocean Grove and then walked the boardwalk all the way to Asbury Park. The photo is of my 9 year old daughter Belle playing in the sand. I love how the breeze suddenly kicked up her hair as I took the photo and how it captures a perfectly imperfect moment, only one month before Sandy struck and changed everything. That is how I'd like to remember that place and hopefully see it return.
