On Kissam Drive, Staten Island.
I went to Staten Island two days after 'Sandy' and made my way to the South East shore. Nowhere had been more devastated than Kissam Drive. Pictured here is Pedro Correa who stands on his doorstep looking at what is left of his house. Pedro was lucky to have even been standing there as he'd been swept out to sea on his roof! and only got back by jumping over fields of debris. I send this picture to highlight the resilience of those who are now re-building. They must not be forgotten.
