A day or two after Sandy hit and we were one of a VERY few homes that didn't lose power. So we ran an extension cord to the street so people could get a charge for their devices. We looked out the window that morning only to see a neighbor, complete with brush and dryer, styling her hair for the day. Not the use we expected but demonstrates the resilience of some good people.
